How to get to Hsinchu
The best way to get to Hsinchu from the airport is by taking taxi. You can find taxi in front of the airport and the fare to Hsinchu should be between NT$1,500 - NT$1,700.
NOTE: It takes about 1 hour by car from the airport to Hsinchu.

Visa
All passports of any country must have a valid period of 6 months or more before entering Taiwan.
Countries eligible for visa-exempt entry:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K., and U.S.A.
Countries eligible for landing visas:
Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovak, and holders of USA passport with validity less than six months.
Those from countries not listed above must obtain visas before arrival in Taiwan:
